«She walks in the river, slowly. She kneels down in front of the glacier, enters its tears.»

SYNOPSIS :

The hand painted shapes on the textile represent the trees and the spirit of nature. The golden embroideries represents the sacred nature that needs to be protected. Summer 2022 is warm. Too warm. Everywhere glaciers are melting too fast and too early. Forests are on fire. This piece takes place in the river of the melting glacier we can see on the mountain. The performance goes as follow : a woman - we don’t see her face - enters in the river wrapped in this textile. She walks in the river, slowly. She kneels down in front of the glacier, enters its tears. The textile piece melts with water, water shimmers on the textile. It creates a unique movement made of the textile in water. This art piece honours water and recognise the urgency of the ecological disaster we are experiencing. It becomes a protection spell.

The painting for textile is fixed and does not dissolve, leaving the water pure without pollution.
