‘Drifting in earth’s echo, a journey in the Arctic. An ecopoetical archive of ice, wind and water’

The project is actually exhibited at the collective exhibition ‘Polar regions and high mountains in the anthropocene’ at the 29th International Polar Conference. From 16th to 20th September 2024 in Rauris, Austria, with the Austrian Polar Research Institute and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Polarforschung.

About the project sur le projet

I just came back from my two months artistic expedition in the Arctic, Svalbard, 78° North.
This big project is about creating an ecopoetical archive of ice, wind and water and to question the human relationship to nature and the deconstruction of the idea that it belongs to humans.
Location: Arctic, Svalbard 78° North.
I traveled to Svalbard from the Netherlands with a sailboat. I lived in Longyearbyen for a while and then joined the sailboat TILVERA with Ocean Missions, to work on my project and to join other storytellers and scientists, with one mission : sail for sustainability.

Je viens de rentrer de mon expédition artistique de deux mois dans l'Arctique, au Svalbard, à 78° Nord.
Ce grand projet consiste à créer une archive écopoétique de la glace, du vent et de l'eau et à questionner la relation humaine à la nature et à déconstruire l'idée qu'elle appartient aux humains.
Lieu : Arctique, Svalbard 78° Nord. J'ai quitté les Pays-Bas pour me rendre au Svalbard à bord d'un voilier. J'ai vécu à Longyearbyen pendant un certain temps, puis j'ai rejoint le voilier TILVERA avec Ocean Missions, pour travailler sur mon projet et rejoindre d'autres conteurs et scientifiques, avec une seule mission : naviguer pour la durabilité.
